So in that same regard, I’ve partnered up co-founded Fly Fishing Southland NZ with two of my greatest friends whom I met through this life-changing sport.
Fishing is a lifestyle. As your guide my drive is to impart my knowledge, while we create a memory to last you a lifetime.

To me, fly fishing is the greatest sport in the world. It’s not about catching the biggest fish or the most fish but about the people you meet, the places it takes you and the challenges it presents.
Hi, I’m Daryl Paskell and one of the team and co-founders of “Flyfishing Southland NZ”. An addict with both local and international experience, I’ve been fly fishing the waters of NZ since I was 10 and guiding the stunning waters of Southland (the province with the largest biomass of trout in NZ) since 1996.
I like nothing more than instilling confidence into my clients and watching them catch their first fish, their PB or just having an awesome day out on the river.
I look forward to meeting new and old clients alike.
